Developing an RWE strategy. Part 1: Defining the variables and outcomes of interest
07 Mar 2019, 16:00 CET
Webinar
This is the first webinar in a series that we will provide about the methodological framework we use to develop RWE strategies. The focus is on RWE studies with the objective to demonstrate the real world effectiveness of a drug / intervention. In the consequent webinars, we will cover the questions of how to identify and assess the available real world data sources.
- Introduction to selecting variables and outcomes in RWE projects
The shift from traditional clinical trials require a more thoughtful process in the evaluation of the required variables to enable high quality RWE research. This is a pre-requisite for the consequent steps to search for data-sets that can answer the question in scope.
- Case study in breast cancer
From a recent project, we will share a high level overview of different considerations in the selection of appropriate variables with examples of important issues to consider
- Case study in obesity surgery based on a value based health care
Based on project in Sweden with value based health care in obesity surgery, we will show the importance of looking at how different variables have different impact on different outcomes of interest
Speaker:
