Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD) is the preeminent EHR database in the UK, providing de-identified patient data for over 30 years. This webinar aims to give an overview of the CPRD database and research services, describing the EHR data available, and how it can be supplemented with linked datasets to provide longitudinal, representative UK health data. Case studies will be provided to demonstrate how CPRD can be used in both observational and interventional public health studies, followed by an explanation of the application and approval process.

Speaker: Temis Vasili is the Business Development Manager for CPRD having recently joined in 2019. Prior to this Temis managed a portfolio of healthcare products, leading innovative product launches and strategic acquisitions at the London Informa office. She began her career in academic research after training as a neuroscientist at UCL, working on therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases. She has since worked with clinical trial, drug and now patient databases, specialising in innovative uses for health data for improving patient care.
