UK-based Clinical Trials - An Update on Brexit
When belonging to the EU, organisations carrying out clinical trials in member states, must follow specific regulations and guidelines in order to ensure safety and regularity among trials. Once the UK leaves the EU, subject to any transitional arrangements, these rules of conduct will no longer apply to the UK, and thus clinical trials conducted in the country during the transition and after may not be comparable in the EU.
The European Commission has released a short report concerning these potential changes, which will be updated regularly.
The report, in more details, can be found on their website.
