The German Institute for Medical Documentation and Information has published all suggestions for procedure and diagnosis codes for 2018
The German Institute for Medical Documentation and Information (DIMDI) has released all suggestions for German procedure (OPS) and diagnosis (ICD-10-GM) classification changes for 2018. Both classifications are used to determine reimbursement for medical procedures through the G-DRG system. For reasons of transparency, DIMDI publishes the suggestions every year during their process of evaluation. This makes it possible for affected entities to inform themselves on potential implications. The number of suggestions has decreased for both classification in comparison to last year with 324 (last year 362) OPS and 56 (last year 84) ICD-10-GM suggestions.
