Dates and deadlines for demands of modification of the procedure coding system and of the DRG system have been announced
The Swiss Federal Office of Statistics (BFS) and the SwissDRG SA organization have recently announced dates and deadlines related to the submission and collection of demands for medication of the procedure coding (CHOP) system and of the SwissDRG system, respectively.
Demands for modification of the procedure coding system, including creation of new CHOP codes and of new guidelines on codifications, can be submitted at BFS starting from Monday the 18th of May 2018. Collection of demands for modification of guidelines will close on the 9th of July, while it will be possible to submit demands for new codes and modification of codes until the 10th of September 2018.
The demand form for modification of the SwissDRG system 9.0 for 2020, including creation of new DRGs, changes in the grouping logic and creation of add-on reimbursements (ZEs) for selected drugs, procedures and technologies, will be published on SwissDRG website on the 23rd of April. Submission will be open on the 28th of May and close on Monday the 9th of July 2018. Detailed information is available on BFS and SwissDRG websites.
